About Upper Mount Gravatt Kindergarten

We have two government-approved kindergarten classrooms offering learning opportunities to children in four class groups. Each classroom delivers a kindergarten program lead by a registered and qualified teacher, to 22 children per day (11:1 ratio), for 15 hours per week, based on the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines.

Extended care to 5.30pm is available upon request provided we have at least 8 children enrolled.

We believe in a model of emergent play based learning where children take the lead in developing the curriculum.
Our teachers put a great deal of thought and planning into developing routines and experiences that ensure large blocks of uninterrupted time for children to explore and learn.

Due to our location, we are able to run Bush Kindy excursions to the Roly Chapman Reserve located next door.  This is embedded into our program and is provided ongoing in Terms 2 and 3 or each year.
